We are looking for a junior to mid level calibration technician to work from our Boca Raton office. Job activities will vary from in-house calibrations to customer field service calls. Daily activities will include testing, calibrating, and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical instrumentation for aviation, pharmaceutical, and process control industries.
Fluent understanding of calibration principles, electronic principles, and basic math is fundamental for this position. Candidate will present for work daily at client sites and must appear competent and professional and have the ability to converse intelligently with clients regarding calibration services. Successful candidate will enjoy an "on-the-job" training atmosphere which will be augmented by training at our facility. Candidate must be able to respond to ever-changing situations at the client site with professionalism and decorum. Technical language proficiency in speaking and writing English is a must. Candidate must possess the technical ability to learn and use many different types of calibration equipment to successfully complete the job. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys learning how to master new tools and equipment.
Technician must be capable of driving long bed vans, carry 50-80 lb weights, and be willing to travel every day to client sites in the greater south Florida area. There is a 75% travel requirement for this position.
Any individual with PMEL or other military calibration experience will be given immediate consideration regardless of location (continental US only).
Minimum Position Requirements
• Military and/or PMEL calibration experience or Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or other pertinent calibration field experience
• Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident
• Must speak fluent English
• Excellent Customer Service skills/communication skills/written skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Advanced computer literacy especially with Excel, Word, and other industry specific software
• Capable of heavy lifting 50 to 80 lbs
• Clean driving record
