Title: Pratt and Whitney Standard Measurment Machine
Post by: KrisR. on 05-31-2011 -- 07:28:52
I'm working on a Pratt and Whitney 22781 Standard Measurement Machine. The tail stock pressure is out of tolerance and requires adjustment, there is not a manual available that I can find from P&W supplying this informations. does anyone have the answer to the pressure adjustment? Thanks.

I would not be much help with this, but there is another forum that deals with a lot of the different measuring machines, CMMs and such.  The link is http://elsmar.com/Forums/forumdisplay.php?f=13
Don't know how much help it will be, just another source.

I figured it out .

There is an adjustment screw inside of the Tail Stock Pressure Knob. Using an allen wrench turn the screw as needed until the dynamometer reads within the manufacturers specification. Gaging Pressure Calibration is now complete.

Thanks, Kris R.
