Job Description
Apply measurement science, mathematics, and physics to design, document, and analyze calibration systems, procedures, and measurement and test equipment
(M&TE), all within a medical device manufacturing environment. The responsibilities of this position include routine calibration of M&TE and
Lab Standards, maintenance of primary, intrinsic, secondary, and working standards. , development of calibration procedures and methods, applying
metrology methods to the design and development of measurement systems,fixtures, and M&TE.
Candidate must be able to analyze measurement data to identify abnormalities, trends, and for predicting future values. This person will develop, document, and maintain calibration systems and procedures, based on principles of measurement science, technical analysis of measurement problems and accuracy and precision requirements as well as perform uncertainty evaluation and analysis of measurement standards,systems, and associated equipment.
Preferred Education Requirements: Bachelors Degree - Engineering Sciences or
related discipline(s) OR a PMEL Certificate.
Minimum Experience Requirements: Two years experience with physical,optical, dimensional, mechanical, temperature, calibration techniques.
Must have an excellent understanding of process equipment,troubleshooting skills and the ability to troubleshoot measurement systems and process equipment. Familiarity with primary and secondary calibration standards and the associated SI units,
proficiency at reading schematics,excellent written and verbal communication skills,computer literate,
and self-directed/motivated.
Certifications:
Military TMDE (PMEL) certificate may substitute for Bachelor's degree. ASQ CCT certification preferred.
Minimum Experience Requirements: This position requires five (5) years of experience. Experience in medical device manufacturing or similar regulated industry s a plus.
Candidate must also have physical dimensional experience and experience with uncertainty analysis.
