Forbes ANGB PMEL is located in Topeka, Kansas and is manned by full-time Federal Civil Service technicians who are not "in" the Guard, though you can join the Guard as a traditional "weekend a month" Guardsman if you so choose. Forbes PMEL is one of four regional labs servicing ANG units in the U. S. We service numerous Air National Guard units in Kansas (home base), Iowa, Colorado, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Missouri, plus Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

We are purely civil service and have no commitment, though you are free to join the Guard as a weekend warrior same as anyone else in America who is eligible to join.
