What is everyone else planning?
We'll be celibrating +/- a few days. :-D
Yeah - it falls on a Monday this year - the day after Father's Day. NOT the best day of the week to have a big Tri-Tip BBQ at the lab but we'll figure something out for it.
I plan on trying to remember what day it is on??? Ok now I re read the first post. Ok then I plan on cooking 20 pounds of ribs and having all my local metrology friends over... Should have about 19 pounds of ribs left after the event...
Please Politics aside... at least someone on a national level has acknowledged "World Metrology Day"

My calendar shows it on a Friday.
Anyway...we have cake that day.
Dang! You're right! I must have been looking at June if there was a Father's Day nearby. Well that's ideal. A Friday evening BBQ for all my metrology pals.
Pound cake, of course :-))
With "gram" cracker crust?
Okay, lets turn this up a notch.... I probably won't win, but lets see who can put together the longest double entendre sentence with metrology terms about World Metrology Day.. I'll start with my meager attempt.
It just TORQUES me the UNCERTAINTY everyone has about METROLOGY day. If my wife has to work, to celebrate, I'll have to METER for lunch.
Pretty bad, I know. Maybe some of you more creative people can build on this.
You probably should have 'scoped it out first. :-D
Mike
I thought POUND cake was STANDARD for METROLOGY day, but GAGING the FREQUENCY of the RESPONSE to this THREAD, it seems I was in ERROR; there is some DEVIATION out there.
