The Michigan Department of Agriculture is currently recruiting for the following vacancies:
Weights & Measures Inspector 9/E10/11 (2 positions) for the Laboratory Division (Metrology Lab).  Starting pay range is $32K with range up to $48K,  plus full State of Michigan benefits, including health, dental, vision; 12 paid holidays/year; 138 hours annual leave/year (note: up to 5 years of military time will raise annual leave accrual to 153.8 hours annual/year); 104 hours of sick leave are earned per year; retirement plan (defined contribution); more!
Locations:  One in SW Michigan (Kalamazoo/Calhoun/VanBuren) and one in SE Michigan (Wayne/Oakland/Macomb).

The job sounds good and safe.  You don't pay very much though.  Up that starting pay to 45K and we'll talk!   Michigan is expensive compared to the dirty south! :mrgreen:
