Done and done.

I guess the conversion wasn't 100% foolproof... just some minor bugs though.

Sorry MIRCS,

I had to take the entire old site down due to the forum it was using and merge as much as I could into this new one.  I'm now working on getting back all of the content that didn't carry over.  It should be coming back bit by bit as I convert the site over.  Until then... it's just not available.

I think that overall, the new site will have better functionality and work better.  Like I said, I had been kicking around the idea of changing or updating the old software, the decision by my host just forced it.  It is turning out to the the nightmare that I had envisioned, too.  But one way or another, I should get everything back and then some.  We'll see in the end.

Okay, there has to be something that can be done about the time out.  I can't retype an entry that I just spent 15 minutes working on.  That would be too much effort on my part to remember what I just wrote.  Is there some way to keep that from happening?

Damn.  I thought that was fixed.  There was some older code that had issues w/ staying logged in and I just updated them last weekend.

I'll have to have a looksee to find out just what's going on.

BTW, are you logging in at the left side column of the front page or the top login block in the forum?  And selecting "forever" or what?

Also, I've had this situation happen to me on several other sites, after typing a long and detailed post only to time out and just give up.  I now right-click and copy my text before selecting preview or post out of habit, just in case.  That way if you have to log back in, you can just paste it into a post and be done.  (it's not the way I'd like to have things happening, but sometimes it is out of my control too...)

Yeah, it was my intention to copy but I forgot to do it.

I log in along the right hand side.
