Hello,
Do you have an idea about when the job will open up? Is the island considered US territory or Marshall Island? Reason I ask that is if someone visits you there, do they have to follow US or Marshall rules for visas. Can you get flights out of there to the rest of Asia or is it just military flights back and forth to the US?
Thanks,
Mark

The job is open. I took a Stateside job and they need to fill my position yesterday.
Military Base. Have to be on orders to get on the plane to Kwaj. Flights on Island hopper to Guam or Honolulu. Continental and Military ATI only way on and off island.
No visa needed. Have to file Military 480 paperwork for visitors.
Wages are tax free if out of country for 330 out of 365 days in a year.
5% Marshilise tax on wages.
No high speed internet or cable TV yet. Dial up internet and AFN TV. So, if your not into water activities and have to have internet and TV. It's not for you.
Thanks! I'm not able to go there yesterday. Got a little while yet.

I was on a rolling 90 day contract. I give 90 days/ they give 90 days and you complete the contract. Less than 90 days and you get not completed on contract and have to pay your own plane ticket home form Kwaj.

If, Chris had had an RF position and not a Phys/D I would have.
Still might some day.
Can you give an idea what the pay would be? How many hours a week were you working?
