Newark is looking for an
Electronic Metrology Technician. JOB PURPOSE: Performs both routine and complex calibration work related to the repair and calibration of electronic, electro mechanical test equipment.
Performs field maintenance and calibration of customer equipment per required standards.
Assures that equipment is calibrated and repaired to required standards for each type of equipment.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:Calibration and repair of test and measurement equipment to required quality standards.
Perform depot and on site calibration of a variety of test equipment and interface with customer on repair needs.
Develop calibration procedures and recommended standards for various test and measurement equipment.
Complete applicable documentation required for calibration of calibrated instrument.
Dependable employee that can work in a team environment and represents Newark in a professional manner.
Maintain high service levels with the customer.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:High School Diploma required; Associates Degree Preferred
Technical Certification required or equivalent industrial experience
Ideal candidate is a PMEL or other military trained calibration technician with 2 years experience industrial calibration.
Person will have extensive training in calibration procedures and laboratory calibrations of high accuracy equipment.
Candidate should be able to perform on site calibrations at customer sites meeting all required calibrations as outlined by the customer purchase order and represent Newark InOne in a professional manner.
Ability to read and understand calibration and repair manuals and troubleshoot
Proficient computer skills with emphasis in Microsoft Word and Excel
Required travel of up to 50% with some overnight stays.
