Title: Fluke 26 series 3 multimeter lost its beep.
Post by: USMCPMEL on 09-20-2009 -- 15:05:28
Hello I have a Fluke 23 that came in and it does not beep on continuity readings. I took it apart and there was a decent amount of corrosion inside the meter. I cleaned the meter out dried it out then cleaned the actual area around the ( no idea what it's called ) beep maker used an erasor to clean the outside rim and the inner white part . Nothing still no beep. Anyone out there know what might have caused this?

I'd guess it normally fires off with the application of a little voltage/current.  Use some leads to apply some voltage to it, probably whatever voltage the battery is.
