Title: Gage Cleaning Solvents
Post by: scott.barnhart on 09-01-2009 -- 14:41:12
Hello all,
I'm attempting to clean a Heise CM series gage but I do not have the standard cleaning solvent we use.   My procedure says I can use any syscom approved gage cleaning solvent but I can't find a listing of those.   Any help with this would be appreciated.

Not sure about syscom; but, freon is by far the best cleaning solvent.   Environmental concerns has forced us to use HFE.   HFE takes quite a bit more time to get a gage clean; but, it works.
