Title: CAL VOID LABEL VENDORS
Post by: Hawaii596 on 05-27-2009 -- 10:02:42
Just thought I'd see if anyone can offer some good, new thoughts on this topic.

I'm getting ready to spec out and buy some new CAL VOID IF SEAL IS BROKEN labels.  Our lab is part of a new company now (past couple of years or so).  We don't like the crappy labels we've been using.  They're made of thin "clean room paper" that's serrated and with poor adhesive; and they have an old logo we don't use any more.

So, the quandary.....

I've been looking around, and for pre-made, off-the-shelf labels, it seems there isn't much (just Brady and Seton).  And by the way, for the same label (the EXACT same label), for the 0.800" diam round, red on white, book of 300, I've seen prices from around $25/book up to more then $70/book (amazing how some companies rip you off).  I'll be polite and not mention who charges the high price.

Anyone have some good thoughts on other vendors who might have more pre-printed options for this?  We don't want to get custom labels at least for this year (economy).

Ampac and Q-Cees are part of Tyco Electronics and have decent cal Void labels. If you give them a call, they can sample some out to you.
