I'm still trying to find a job in the Middle East. I've been actively looking, but I can't seem to find much. I've applied for the job in Kuwait for BAE Systems, but other than that I can't find anything else. If someone knows something or has any info I would really appreciate it.
I'm also wondering if my resume isn't up to par or that because resumes get screened that whoever is looking at them is tossing mine because of lack of wording. So I'm posting my resume and if you could give me some helpful advice I would appreciate it.
Just to be slightly discreet I've changed somethings.
It seems like when I got out of the Marines in 2005 I heard about a lot of people working over there and for better money, but I guess the workforce has shifted away from US workers to other foreign nationals. I do think that I will eventually get a job there it's just a matter of time. Nothing good in life comes easy.
Up until recently KBR had the contract for TMDE/calibration. Two weeks ago Fluor got the contract for Iraq and Afghanistan. Don't know if they are still hiring or not.
See if I can find a contact to post here
Wow, this just dropped into my email. Don't know the guy, he works for Fluor, but h seems to be the guy running things over here for calibration services.

You may also want to consider BAE Systems in Saudi, the pay is better than what I saw offered for working in Kuwait and the vacation is a lot better. You can contact
[email protected] or
[email protected], one thing though we currently are fully manned but they do keep resumes on hand for when we have openings. If anyone has any questions drop me a line and I'll tell all.
edit: fixed e-mail links
Just a heads up that I've amended the points of contact to reflect the new HR people handling MetCal recruiting for Saudi Arabia.
I think this has turned into a really good post and I appreciate everyone that's had an input. I just wish I could ever get a call back. I'm still optimistic, but I feel like I keep getting rejected...it sucks. Thanks
