Test & Evaluation Engineer 1
This job requisition is for the Flight Operations, Test and Validation - Puget Sound Metrology Engineering organization. Work with a dedicated team of Engineers and Technicians supporting the primary and secondary electrical Metrology laboratories in Seattle Washington. Knowledge and experience in the following areas is desired; Electronic Measurement and test equipment calibration, calibration data analysis, maintenance of electronic reference standard traceability, interval analysis, calibration procedures development, measurement uncertainty evaluations and calibration software programming. Assist with the development of solutions to electrical system problems of limited scope and impact. Assist with the design and programming of calibration systems for electronic measurement and test equipment. Assist with the development of data processing tools and algorithms. Write calibration procedures of limited scope. Conduct measurement uncertainty evaluations under the guidance of more senior engineers. Assist with the fabrication, assembly, calibration, installation and checkout of metrology systems. Support metrology system setup in order to satisfy design requirements and verify system readiness. Support in developing project plans using the principles of project management and performance goals. Support in proposal preparation under the direction from more experienced Metrology technical personnel.

I've been PMEL for 20+ years, but I have yet to meet a "metrology engineer". Do they send you some place special? :-D You'll find them at your local Eichampt in Germany, but not too many in the US.

I'm a Metrology Engineer. All you need is a science type or math degree and experience writing procedures.
