Just came across this site and it looks like it is a good place to network and make contacts. I am looking to relocate back to the South. Preferrably the SE. I have extensive background in the Physical/Dimensional, and mechanical areas. I worked for a tool manufacturer in calibration and repair depts for 13 years and since then have primarily done field and on-site work. If anyone has any leads, please let me know. Thanks again

How far south would you be willing to move to Florida?
USMCPMEL,
I am particularly intersted in going back to TN, GA, AL or NC, but would take Florida into consideration if it was the right opportunity arose. Thanks for inquiry.
Hey, GageGuy,
I talked to the PhysD manager; he said to send along your resume.
msr
Msrichmond,
Will do. Should I send it to the address/web-site above?
You can; that's the company address. If you email it directly to me, I can hand it directly to him and that would probably speed things up for you.
Full disclosure: I took a job here in mid-May. So far, the working atmosphere has been great but my workload is pretty light; I'm working high-acc DMMs. I don't believe the PhysD workload is overly taxing but they do have OT if they want it; probably why they are still hiring.
P.S. If your resume is strong enough, they'll hire you pretty quickly. My interview went like this:
"Here's the lab. When can you start?" :-D
Hey GageGuy
I don't know anything about the company or the position, only that I just saw a job opening in Cornelius, NC with Calibration Solutions, Inc.
Check out the careers section of ecalibration.com for more info.
