I am looking for an old buddy of mine named Tommy Burgin. I served with him at Cherry Point North Carolina from 1995-1997. Last I talked to him he had moved to California and that had to be like 3 years ago or more.
Hello Anybody?
This looked like a familiar post so it was avoided. Besides slim pickings here if you want a Marine. Leon is one of few. There is a reply in your other thread. I recommend you check it out.
OK thanks. I talked to the other guy but he does not know where my friend is either so who knows?
Was he a cal guy? I used to go up to Cherry Point alot and don't remember that name.
Well the problem could be lack of specificity on my part see you used to go there also lacks a certain air of specicifity the question at hand is when did you go there? And when was I there? I was there from Jan 1995 through October 1997 Tommy showed up sometime after I did soo maybe early 1996??then he was still there when I left. I do not remember when he left. When were you running up there?? ANNNDDDD I bet that you know Brian Bohager right?

F*CK YEAH I KNOW THAT POS!!!!!!!!!!! :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x He's lucky to be alive today thanks to SSGt Kennedy....
There is at least one other Marine here, i was in Quantico from 94-99 though. my old boss was the lab chief (Top Bartsch) somewhere at CP, and knew a guy named james bellinger (old camp Pend. compadre)
Haven't heard the name Bellinger in years I wonder how Jim is doing these days. You remember him well don't you USMCPMEL. Course he wasn't as bad as Kumer
Yes we were close friends we used to eat ice cream sundies at the chow hall together of course that was after he made me do 20000 jump ropes and run 10 miles to lose weight I actually lacked him better than Kummer at Least Bellinger was consistant... BTW he is the reason I got a bad shoulder I hurt it while trying to block him in touch football down at Cheery Point not not Kummer...... Belinger. God I could have blocked Kummer with my pinky scrawny little so and so

Why don't you tell us how you really feel
Well I am getting a little closer to finding him. I got in contact with an old friend yesterday and I was told he is in California. Anybody out that way know a crazy kid from Kentucky named Tommy Burgin??
Don't know Tommy Burgin, but I was at CPen with Top Bartsch and crew at the MALS from 1992-1996. Guess I'm an old timer. I knew a Brian Hayes and Chris Cuomo (Como?) who, last I recall, were at Cherry Point.
JimmyC- who ya know? Top's retired down in SD and working. . . . hell, been west side since I got out here.
I went to scool with a como(sp??) what the heck is CPEN???
Hayes was he a tall blond dude with glasses? If so that was my roomate at PMEL school at Lowry Air Force Base. And him and Como where buddies back in the day. You said they were at cheery point? Where they at MCC down there?
Not sure about Como, but Hayes was at the MALS at Cherry Point. And yeah, tall blond guy with glasses.
CPEN = Camp Pendleton, not Cherry Point.
I was in the same class as Como, Touchton and Miller.
If you haven't been to Lowry in the last ten years, the barracks (last I was there) was a dirt patch, as was the bowling alley and Mile High Lodge was an old folks home. . . . pretty damn depressing. . . . .
Hey Redbones,
I would have to say you're not that old. If Top Bartsch is the one I'm thinking of, I remember him coming to Pendleton as a SSgt in the early 80's.

Thank God you're here! I was beginning to feel my age. . . . :-D
