With that lucrative salary, does this position pay in American Dollars or Pounds Sterling?

Who pays the taxes?  When it was Raytheon's contract, the taxes were paid by Raytheon.  What American taxes would have to be paid?

Is there a COLA, or UnCOLA?

If you have a current driver's license, can you just use that or do you have to get a British D.L?

Is Feltwell AB anywhere near RAF Feltwell?

Inquiring minds want to know!  8-)

You get paid in sterling, your medical is through NHS, you pay all British taxes and you do have to have a British drivers license. . . study because US driving schools will be of no help to you there.  They actually make sure you know what the hell you're doing before you get a license.  RAF Feltwell is not called Feltwell AB.  there is no COLA.  It's in Norfolk county approx 85 mi north of London.  If you like type IIA, this is the place to go.  I enjoyed my time there.

Are we talking Central London?  Or from the M25?

Could I LIVE in London?

I would assume the distance is measured from central London.  You honestly wouldn't want to live in London unless you want to spend 4+ hours a day commuting.  If you like city life, Cambridge is about 30-40 minutes away.  It's a lot smaller, safer and has everything you'd want in a big city.  Norwich is approximately 40 minutes away as well.  Be preppared for Hawaii and LA real estate prices regardless of where you live.  Rent will be priced accordingly too.  A 2-car garage is not very common and will cost a fortune if you find one.  I still recommend it though for the experience of living in England.  I would recommend living near or in Fetwell, Hockwold, Methwold or Lakenheath due to a shorter commute.  There are only small roads leading to the base and they are congested with tractors and commuters.  For what they pay, I would consider a couple of years there.
