Job Location: Columbus Air Force Base Mississippi
Position Title: Senior Precision Measurement Equipment Specialist

WORKCENTER:   Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory


Performs troubleshooting, repair maintenance, calibration, and certification traceable to the National Institute of Technology (NIST) on Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE).

Troubleshoots and isolates malfunctions to TMDE.  Repairs, modifies and performs equipment maintenance on TMDE.  Calibrates, adjusts and certifies TMDE to conform to tolerances or users' requirements.  Initiates, validates and maintains all required PMEL documentation.  Practices good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness/prevention and safety at all times.  Shall perform other duties related to the assigned work center, to include limited travel.  Must to able to work day shift, with night or weekend duty as required.  Annotates maintenance actions in appropriate forms and is proficient in PAMS documentation. 


High school diploma or the equivalent.  Completion of Precision Measurement Equipment Specialist School or equivalent is required.  Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.  A minimum of three years recent (one year within the last three years) experience in the calibration/repair of TMDE is required.
