Tasks cover a wide range of engineering program management and engineering analysis.  Analyzes engineering team management practices and develops management methods for controlling engineering decisions, program technical authority, cost, schedule and performance.  Assesses Navy metrology engineering issues and develops strategic objectives, engineering plans, and priorities.  Performs requirements analysis and assesses engineering and budgetary resources needed for developing and sustaining Navy metrology and calibration laboratory technical capabilities.  Develops criteria for assessing performance and evaluates engineering team accomplishments and aviation fleet impact.  Develops briefs and engineering management reports for senior civil service and military program managers on engineering challenges, accomplishments, and complex technical issues impacting the Naval metrology community.
Must Have 10+ years experience. 
  • Managing in-service engineering support, testing, and or metrology engineering activities
  • Development of calibration and or test systems
  • Communicating with DON military and civilian senior leadership on challenges, strategies, issues, and accomplishments
  • Military leadership experience desired

The successful applicant must have knowledge and skills related to:
  • Technical analysis
  • Engineering management analysis
  • Excellent written communication skills (technical reports, point papers, engineering management plans, case studies, etc. )
  • Mastery of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Project

Bachelor or Masters in engineering or physics
Must be eligible for Secret Clearance
