We currently have an opportunity for a Lead Electronic Repair Technician at our Sunnyvale, California lab.

The Lead Electronic Repair Technician will evaluate, test, troubleshoot and repair system to component levels of Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipments used in the Life Sciences, RF/Telecommunications, and Semiconductor/Electronic Components markets.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 8 years experience as a Repair Technician
• 2 years leading and training subordinates
• Strong knowledge of electronic circuit theory
• Advanced soldering training
• Power and hand tools
• Must be able to read circuit schematics and identify components within those schematics
• Associates degree in Electrical Technologies or similar
• Must be TMDE/PMEL certified
• Must be able to life up to 65 pounds without assistance; occasional standing and bending required.

COMPENSATION and BENEFITS

How much are you offering? I ask because the Bay area is about the most expensive real estate market in North America.  I wouldn't advise taking any job there for under $100k py.  It's a beautiful area but 1500 sq ft, 3 bed, 2 bath houses in a so so part of town cost upward of 500k.  If you're looking to beak the 2000 sq ft barrier, you'll have to cough up >$1 million

 I wasn't seriously expecting an offer in the 100k range.  I can't imagine any company willing to pay 100k for a bench tech or lead.  I'm willing to say that's an impossibility on Simco's (or any other company's) part.  Thanks for you candor though!

Do either of those jobs involve Physical-dimensional (K-6) or temperature/humidity (K-5) experience? Thanks
