Job Description:

Position requires experience in basic metrology principles as applied to all measurement disciplines.  Position requires extensive knowledge in the K6 section of the PMEL.  Responsibilities include calibration/repair of the K6 standards as well as basic K5 Temperature and K6 electro-mechanical, physical, dimensional, mechanical, and optical TMDE.  Experience shall include inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, aligning, calibrating, and certifying TMDE, metrology laboratory working standards and safe work practices/procedures.  Will assist other calibration sections as Physical/Dimensional workload permits.  Must be familiar and comply with all applicable directives.  Experience shall include metrology techniques and laboratory practices, inspecting, troubleshooting to component level, repairing, overhauling, aligning, calibrating, and certifying TMDE and metrology laboratory working standards, and safe work practices/procedures.

Additional requirements: Able to perform additional duties or responsibilities assigned by management to support the requirements of the Performance Work Statement, including janitorial duties.

Other desirable qualifications: Knowledgeable of the USAF PMEL Automated Management System, the USAF Metrology and Calibration Program, and the USAF Quality System and Quality Program requirements, mathematical concepts and skills, and computer skills.

All positions include lucrative salary and benefits package IAW Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Minimum Qualifications:
A minimum of 4 years of verifiable recent experience in a metrology laboratory performing calibration and repair of TMDE.  Experience in a USAF PMEL is preferred.  Applicants must have normal color vision, pass drug screenings, and be a U.S. Citizen able to acquire and retain a Security Clearance. Must have a valid and current driver's license.
