The Army Primary Standards Lab in Huntsville Alabama has two openings for Engineering Technicians (GS-0802-11) in the microwave lab.   You can go to this site to check out the positions.   http: cpol.  army.  mil/.   Click employment and then search for jobs.   If you highlight Alabama and put 0802 in the series, it should take you straight to the opening.   It's open to military veterans, people with prior civil service, and people who are in civil service (Who may apply is in the position opening statement).   We are looking for people with a fairly strong microwave background.   Primary standards lab experience is a plus.   You can find the pay steps at the OPM site.   Check it out for yourself to get the correct information.

Not to hijack, but while you are looking at 0802 positions, if you are not interested in Huntsville, do a search for 2602s in your (desired) state, as the Army uses mostly 2602s for PMEL/ Calibration technician positions.

Thanks calibr8tor!

Sorry, those positions are now closed. We had many talented candidates to choose from. Thanks to everyone who applied. I will try and keep everyone posted on future openings.
