The selected applicant for this position will be responsible for calibration and repair of precision measurement equipment (PMEL) in accordance with established schedules, procedures, and directives.  Reports to the Systems Operations and Maintenance Supervisor. 

Responsibilities:
Use common and special calibration tools and calibration equipment to repair, calibrate, and certify precision measurement equipment (TMDE). 
Maintain clean, well organized area; take special care in all PMEL related tasks. 
Perform PMEL quality control functions. 
Be aware of work hazards associated with the job duties and control measures required to counteract them. 
Participate in relevant quality, environmental, safety, security, and disaster preparedness programs. 
Maintain job proficiency by participating in established training. 
Be accountable for government and contractor furnished equipment. 

This position is located at Cavalier AFS, ND.  Limited relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidate.  Applicants must be currently residing in or willing to relocate to Cavalier AFS or surrounding areas.

Must have the following:
High school diploma
Minimum of three years experience as a repair and calibration technician for electronic instrumentation, preferably in positions involving a wide variety of electronic instruments commonly used in the maintenance of radar and communications project. 
Ability to read, comprehend, and comply with approved USAF calibration standards and technical data used in the performance of calibration requirements. 

Preferences:
Completion of USAF PMEL Technician training course or equivalent
Previous experience with USAF PMEL laboratory
