SMR, Inc. is seeking Metrology and RADIAC Technicians and a Driver for our Naval Weapons Station site in Yorktown, VA.
   
Metrology and RADIAC Technicians must have experence in the calibration and repair of general-purpose test equipment and must be proficient in operating, troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing and calibrating a variety of equipment.  They must possess knowledge of electrical / electronic theory, physics, and operating principles.  They must have a working knowledge of calibration and laboratory standards, interpretation of schematic wiring diagrams, blueprints, technical publications, use and care of calibration standards, working standards, and metrology.

All Technicians must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance and a valid Virginia state driver’s license.  RADIAC Technicians must also have or obtain a certificate of completion from the Navy RADIAC Instrument Calibration Course and must be able to pass a Radiation Physical.

Technicians will have formal training in precision measurement equipment from a technical institute or military school.  They will have a minimum of four years related TMDE/RADIAC experience. Requirements include a minimum of four (4) years practical experience in the field of electronics including repair, overall, test and checkout, with a minimum of two (2) years experience in calibration and repair of RADIAC equipment.

Drivers shall obtain or possess a valid Virginia state driver’s license with HAZMAT Transport Certification, be able to obtain a Confidential Security Clearance, and have or obtain a Material Equipment Handling (MEH) license.
