For those of you who still rely on this signal for your house 10 MhZ signal, you may still be able to use the Canadian Signal or the Russian Signal depending on your location. For more info, go to the following:
http://www.navcen.uscg.gov/PUBS/loran/sigspec/Default.htm.
You can also upgrade to a newer system. We ordered the Fluke 9102 GPS controlled OCXO Freq. Standard.

Does that Fluke maintain traceability by itself?  Right now we are running an Agilent 5071A and renting a FMAS system from NIST to tell us the 5071A is working, I knew that.  I'd be thrilled if we could dump the FMAS and the monthly fee that accompanies it.

I know of 2 labs using the Fluke GPS.. Seems to work pretty good.

Here is a link the the Manual off Fluke's web Site..

There's a good article in the Jan/Feb/Mar 2007 issue of Cal Lab magazine about "GPS Receiver Calibration: Why Is It Necessary".  Here's the link:

If you have to switch over, just make sure your 17025 scope of accreditation doesn't make specific reference of traceability through the LORAN-C chain.  smiley
